چکیده

Along with global economic development and population growth, the discharge of highly toxic corrosive anthropogenic byproducts into atmosphere or aquatic habitats creates a serious threat to human health. In order remove such byproducts, more attention should be paid innovative materials high uptake capacity performance. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are crystalline, porous, hybrid that made up organic ligands as linkers metal cluster-based nodes. Because their beneficial features large surface area, tailorable pore sizes, structural diversity, catalytic activity, wide range chemical physical properties, MOFs offer significant potential adsorbents. As result, these have drawn amount for capture and/or detoxification hazardous chemicals. This review will focus on recent advancements MOF based experimental computational studies related gases including hydrogen sulfide (H2S), ammonia (NH3) sulfur dioxide (SO2) carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx).

He has been a valuable mentor to me throughout my college career, and during this project in particular I have benefitted tremendously from his wisdom. I also owe many thanks to thank Professor Jesse Rowsell for synthesizing the materials studied in this lab...
متن کاملCharacterisation of metal organic frameworks for adsorption cooling
Silica gel/water adsorption cooling systems suffer from size, performance and cost limitations. Therefore, there is a need for new adsorbent materials that outperform silica gel. Metal organic frameworks (MOFs) are newmicro-porousmaterials that have extraordinary porosity and uniform structure. Due to the lack of published data that characterise MOF/water adsorption, this paper experimentally i...
متن کاملAzulene based metal-organic frameworks for strong adsorption of H2.
Two Zn MOFs, MOF-645 and MOF-646, comprised of polarized 1,3-azulenedicarboxylate were synthesized. The guest free MOF-646 showed strong MOF-H(2) interactions (7.8-6.8 kJ mol(-1)), which revealed the significant impact of internally polarized azulene backbone to stabilized H(2) molecules in the framework.
